What is included

Nadi X pants                          The Pulse                                USB 2.0 Micro B Cable

Getting started with Nadi X

Search “ Nadi X ” in the App Store https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/nadi-x/id1314196363?mt=8 to download.

Once the app is downloaded, put your Nadi X pants on.

What is the “ Pulse ”?

The pulse is the device that powers the vibrations in the pants. You need it to gain the full experience of

the pants by learning step by step yoga through guided vibrations around the waist, knees and ankles.

It snaps into the insert behind your left knee and connects to your phone through bluetooth. The pulse

should not be used or inserted into any other device or object besides the Nadi X pants

Dimensions of Pulse

66mm x 38mm x 14mm (L/W/H)

Sensors

Your Pulse contains the following sensor an MEMS 3-axis accelerometer, which helps to evaluate your yoga pose

and to detect the double tap for waking up.

Materials

The housing of your Pulse is made of a durable, semi-transparent polymer. It is resistant to harsh environment and

design for long life.

The USB cover of your Pulse is made of a flexible, thermoplastic polymer which maintains flexibility and form over

a long time to ensure the USB connector stays protected from water and dust.

The studs of your Pulse are made of brass which is coated with a protective layer to give it high durability and

chemical resistance.

Compatibility

The Pulse is compatible with all iPhones and iPads that support Bluetooth 4.0 and use iOS 10 or higher.

Water Resistance

You can use your Pulse in mildly humid conditions, but please do not immerse it in water or leave in the rain.

To maintain water resistance:

- Make sure the USB cover is inserted properly

- Do not tamper with the USB cover when the Pulse is still wet

- Avoid moving the Pulse in and out of contrasting extreme atmospheres; saunas or steam rooms, could distort

the sealing gaskets

- Avoid opening the USB cover unnecessarily

- Always close the USB cover after recharging

Environmental Conditions

Operating temperature: -4° to 109° F (-20° to 43° C)

Non-operating temperature: Below -4° and above 109° F (below -21° and above 43° C)

_______________________________________________________________________

How do I activate the Pulse?

Place your pulse on a flat surface. Double tap the top surface of your pulse on the smaller oval shape to

activate it. You will see a crescent shaped white light on the other end blinking.

Connecting to Bluetooth

Wireless technology

Your Pulse contains a Bluetooth 4.0 radio transceiver.

In order to connect the pulse to your phone, bluetooth needs to be enabled. It can be enabled through settings in

your iphone, alternatively swipe up from the bottom of your phone and press the bluetooth icon.

Battery information

Your Pulse contains a rechargeable lithium-polymer, Li-Ion Polymer 3.7V 370 mAh battery that is rechargeable

through the usb cable provided in the packaging or any other micro usb cord. The pulse should last 90 minutes. If

your battery is low, a pop up screen on your app will inform you that your battery life is critically low and that you

will need to recharge.

Disposing The Pulse

If you no longer want your Nadi X pants and pulse, please do not dispose of them in your trash. There are many

ways to properly dispose of of the pants and the lithium battery in your pulse, please read page 21 in our user

manual.

Charging your Pulse

There is a usb port cover on the larger round edge of the pulse. Open the cover and insert the mini usb cable that

is included in the Nadi X package. Plug the larger end of the cable into a power source like your laptop, power

cube. Plug your cable into the usb wall charger. Wait until the red crescent light turns green. When the light is

green, this means that the pulse is fully charged. The pulse will not fully work if your battery life is low. If a pop up

in your app says that the pulse battery is low and needs to be recharged, we advise charging it before using. We

recommend charging your pulse before each use. Charge the battery in accordance with the instructions supplied

with this manual.

Charging Cable

Usb micro cable is provided by Orico. For more information please visit http://www.orico.cc/

Attaching the pulse

Clip the pulse on the harder surface behind your left knee. Make sure all of the studs on the pulse are

tightly clipped into your pants.

Connecting your pulse

If the pulse is charged, activated, attached and bluetooth is switched on, the app will connect to your

pants. Please ensure that the Pulse is as close as possible to your cell phone when you connect for the

first time. This helps the cell phone to identify the correct Pulse, in case there are more Pulses around.

For all later connections, this is not necessary as the app will store your Pulse and only connect to that

one. If you want to connect to another Pulse, please use the “Need help?” page in the main menu and

choose “set-up: start from the beginning”.

Setting vibration strength

You can set the vibration strength of the pants by dragging your finger along the blue circles in the

app. The more blue circles you have, the stronger the vibrations will be. Choosing only one blue

circle will switch off the vibrations, but the Pulse will still be connected to your phone and be able to

detect your pose.

How to wear Nadi X

To test whether your pulse is on correctly, make sure that you hear all 4 snaps click in. If you bend your knee while

the pulse is on and it falls off, your pants should be adjusted correctly. You can either lift the pant leg a bit higher

or lower or twist it a bit left or right.

The detailed panel at the front of the pants (* in this image is the white fabric) should be facing forward. Keep the

design lines on your pants symmetrical when wearing. They should not be twisted. This makes sure that all

sensors are positioned correctly and will optimize the accuracy of the pose detection.

The haptics (i.e. woven-in technology for vibrations) around your waist should feel centered and above

your tailbone. The haptics around your ankles should feel snug. The bottom part should be touching

your achilles tendon.

Turning the sound on

Make sure that your audio is on by turning the knob up, Located on the left side of your device. You can turn the

volume up through settings in your phone.

Learning Yoga Step by Step

Poses

Detailed instructions break down each yoga pose step by step. The Nadi X app tells you specifically where to

focus your attention around your hips, knees, and ankles through audio and visual instructions on the screen. The

selection of poses represents a wide range of different levels of yoga from beginner to guru. Press play from the

list of poses to start your flow or choose one you want to improve. If you want to repeat a step, simply press

pause and go back as often as you like. Press pause if you would like to skip through the steps.

Constant vibration

Detach the Pulse from your Nadi X pants and wait for the app to show a message indicating that you can

re-attach the Pulse. After you have re-attached the Pulse into the host plate, the message on your screen should

disappear. If that is not the case, please try again or restart the app.

No vibration

Please try one of the following:

- make sure your Pulse is charged

- make sure your Pulse is attached correctly to the pant

- take a look at the vibration strength and see if the vibrations are

switched off ( only one blue ring represents no vibration strength at all )

- make sure your Pulse is connected to your cell phone (should be displayed in your app)

Can’t connect to Pulse

Please make sure:

- your Pulse is switched on (gently double tap until you see the white LEDs blinking)

- your Pulse is charged. It won’t connect to your iPhone if the battery is critically low

- the bluetooth in your phone is enabled

- you are using your own Pulse. If you want to use a different Pulse from a friend or a new one, please go to

the “Need help” page and choose “Set-up: start from the beginning”

For quick reference, you can navigate to the “common issues when connecting” press the button “ Setup: start

from the beginning” in the app. For additional support, you can contact hello@wearablex.com or visit our AQ page
